Portafino Pizza, Wappingers Falls, NY

We ordered a quick take-out lunch for our visiting family. The pies were ready when I arrived. Sadly they were getting cold by the time I arrived home. They warmed up nicely in the oven. We ordered plain pies and chicken parmigiana pie. The pizza was pretty ordinary, only OK. I'll give them another try, but for now their score is... Score'; Two and a half slices.

Taconic Pizza, Lagrangeville, NY

We were coming home from Bridget's doctor appointment in NYC and felt a bit like a slice. We should have stopped in the Bronx for a slice, but Omnicron was just beginning, and we decided to drive straight home. Taconic Pizza was right by our local high school. The pizza slices were big and reheated. Very cheesy, and the crust was not too thick. The tomato sauce was average. They offered me more ranch dressing on the Chicken Bacon Ranch slice which helped as it was a bit dry. The service was friendly. They asked if I was at the high school for the days wrestling tournament. You could throw a baseball to the school from here. Clearly this is a favorite of the student body.  I used the restroom which was clean and under lock and key. The key was attached to a large metal spoon! Apparently, it's gone missing. Score: Two and half slices

Why a pizza blog?

Image
When we started dating, we often visited different pizza places in Southern Westchester. We had the inspiration to do a book of pizza reviews, but never got around to it. Well it's 2022 and its time to start. This blog is dedicated to the old Fleetwood Pizza in North Tarrytown New York. Good times and good pizza!
